King And Queen With Londoners (1945)

05:20
London. Mass crowd at gates of Buckingham Palace, gate is open. A car is seen inside the grounds, ready to leave the Palace. Various shots of royal cars driving through crowded streets, people waving flags. Various shots of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (later the Queen Mother) leaving car and being encircled by mass crowd, bomb site and derelict buildings around - probably the East End. Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II) and Princess Margaret are also seen. More shots of the royal cars driving through crowded streets, mass crowd cheering, pushing and waving flags. More shots of cars at stand still encircles by mass crowd. Note - occasional natural sound appears and disappears, bad quality. FILM ID:2155.09 A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. Earlier this year (2010) Australian kayakers Lachie Carracher and Anthony Yap successfully led an international rafting and kayaking expedition down Australia's largest river, the Fitzroy, in the far north of Western Australia. This is a short film of that trip. The team of eleven paddlers from Africa, North America and Australia drove over 4000km from Melbourne to the last road access point in the Kimberley before chartering four light aircrafts to place them in the most upper reaches of the Fitzroy catchment. They then paddled from Manning Creek into the Barnett river, further onto the Hann and after two weeks finally reached the mighty Fitzroy. Twenty three days later and the kayakers had endured and appreciated dry lighting storms, eating lizards, exploring gorges that housed the oldest recorded culture on earth, swimming with crocodiles, cliff jumps and of course world-class white water. The expedition took place during February, a time when the Fitzroy has been recorded at 1 million cumecs (cubic feet per second) at the take out; unfortunately 2010 proved the lowest water levels for February on record. The expedition worked closely with the Australian Conservation Foundation to raise awareness of the environmental issues threatening the Kimberley Region. Later in the year there will be a photo exhibition and feature film encompassing four years of work in the region by a number of paddlers to raise funds for the ACF in an effort to preserve one of the worlds last true water wildernesses. kayakthekimberley.com / acfonline.org.au

This is the live video shooting during our last show, Tales of Churchill. Sorry for the editing, i did it my self at home using not-built-for-multimedia computer lol. Farewell to Untsa and Anya for your study in ISI, a distinguished music institute in Indonesia. Hope both of you can achieve a remarkable reputation there, graduate, then become famous musicians :) Congratulations to Natha, he's getting married soon (please God, bless the couple) *yeaay, and start new business as he has to settle down. Muci, thanks man, such an honour having you in this band, good luck for your new band :) Yoga, life is full of ups and down, bear in mind, don't let anyone, ANYONE, parts you from your dream! You and Richie are still young, things are fixable. If music is your passion, stay close or keep involve in it. Thank you Hook Music Studio, and Teuku Denie for your help and assistance since Tales of Churchill first came to the studio last year, and now have its own indie album. And for our teacher, Iman Jentre and Newin Siahaan. Lastly for all indie band, don't let this f##kin situation in Indonesian music industry, keep you away from making and playing your own music and sound. Persuasion (1995) 480p /w optional English subtitles (Jane Austen adaptation)

01:47:06
IMDb Link......: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114117/ IMDb Ratings...: 7.7/10 from 8,937 users Director.......: Roger Michell Writers........: Jane Austen (based on a novel by), Nick Dear (screenplay) Stars..........: Amanda Root, Ciarán Hinds, Susan Fleetwood Genres.........: Drama Persuasion is a 1995 period drama film directed by Roger Michell and based on Jane Austen's 1817 novel of the same name. In her theatrical film debut, the British actress Amanda Root stars as protagonist Anne Elliot, while Ciarán Hinds plays her romantic interest, Captain Frederick Wentworth. The film is set in 19th century England, nine years after Anne was persuaded by others to reject Wentworth's proposal of marriage. Persuasion follows the two as they become reacquainted with each other, while supporting characters threaten to interfere. The film was adapted by the writer Nick Dear, who considered the story more mature than Austen's other novels. He characterised it as one of realism and truthfulness, particularly in telling the story of two people separated and then reunited. As Austen's narrative style conveys Anne's thoughts internally, Dear and Root felt compelled to express the character's emotions using comparatively little dialogue. Persuasion was shot in chronological order, allowing the actress to portray Anne's development from being downtrodden to happy and blossoming.

ROBERT DAVID STEELE: ON THE DEEP STATE & EVERYTHING ELSE #UNRIG

01:41:10
I interviewed Robert David Steele on Thursday, July 6, 2017. We talk about pedophilia, Trump, the deep state, 911, colonies on Mars and the moons of Saturn, underground bases and a host of other topics. Comments disabled due to troll activity! Short Bio: Robert David Steele is unique for being a former spy — the most published intelligence reformer in the English language — as well as the top Amazon reviewer for non-fiction, reading in 98 categories, and also recently nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. A long time manager of a global small business who has trained over 7,500 mid-career professionals from over 66 countries in open sources and methods of intelligence, his current passion is a non-profit educational company, Earth Intelligence Network (EIN). EIN has designed a World Brain construct and a PhD in Stewardship that emphasizes holistic analytics, true cost economics, and Open Source Everything Engineering (OSEE). This summer EIN is sponsoring #UNRIG, a 90-day national tour with Dr. Cynthia McKinney to educate voters on how they can take the power back across 435 Congressional Districts. Each District will soon have a #UNRIG MeetUp that could lead to forcing all 100 Senators and all 435 Representatives into passing the Election Reform Act of 2017 in September. If successful, Steele and McKinney envision the restoration of integrity to our government, to include a total commitment to evidence-based decision-making in the public interest. His motto is “the truth at any cost lowers all others costs.” Learn more about him at robertdavidsteele.com, and about the campaign at tinyurl.com/IndieGoGo-UNRIG. He blogs at phibetaiota.net. ch 16) A Peoples War

01:45:41
chapter 16: A People's History (Of The United States) Howard Zinn. ~ Chapter 16, "A People's War?", covers World War II, opposition to it, and the effects of the war on the people. Zinn, a veteran of the war himself, notes that "it was the most popular war the US ever fought," [p104] but states that this support may have been manufactured through the institutions of American society. He cites various instances of opposition to fighting (in some cases greater than those during World War I) as proof. Zinn also argues that the US's true intention was not fighting against systematic racism, since the US had this itself, such as with the Jim Crow laws (leading to opposition to the war from African-Americans). Another argument made by Zinn is that the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were not necessary, as the U.S. government had already known that the Japanese were considering surrender beforehand. Other subjects from WWII covered include Japanese American internment and the bombing of Dresden. The chapter continues into the Cold War, which Zinn writes was used by the U.S. government to increase control over the American people (for instance, eliminating such radical elements as the Communist Party) and at the same time create a state of permanent war, which allowed for the creation of the military-industrial complex. Zinn believes this was possible because both conservatives and liberals willingly worked together in the name of anti-Communism. Also covered is US involvement in the Greek Civil War, the Korean War, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, and the Marshall Plan.

Stephen Kinzer, "The Brothers" | Talks at Google

58:54
"The Brothers: John Foster Dulles, Allen Dulles, and Their Secret World War" is the story of the creation of the U.S. intelligence community, of the beginning of U.S. covert actions around the world, and of the overthrow of foreign governments in the name of democracy and in the interest of the giant corporations the brothers spent their careers serving. "The Brothers" places their extraordinary lives against the background of American culture and history, using the framework of biography to ask: Why does the United States behave as it does in the world? Stephen Kinzer is an award-winning foreign correspondent who has covered more than 50 countries on five continents for newspapers including the Boston Globe and the New York Times over a career that has spanned more than four decades. He is a visiting fellow at the Watson Institute for International Studies at Brown University, contributes articles to the New York Review of Books and The Daily Beast, and writes a world affairs column for The Guardian. "The Brothers" is his ninth book.

Subscribe to stay up to date with the latest videos ► https://www.sbry.co/suBiH Episode 14 - Here’s the Final Warning Sign You’ll See Before the Next Bear Market and $1 Trillion in Losses What in the world is going on in the bond markets? This is the question Porter asks Marty Fridson, a bond market visionary whose 40-year career has been accurate enough for him to be labeled “the Dean of High-Yield Debt.” Marty reveals the one market index and unique metric he developed to spot the beginning of bear market cycles…and what he’s seeing right now is so unusual it hasn’t happened since...2008. But there’s one thing missing. Buck and Porter discuss the complete madness of America’s involvement in Afghanistan, why the US doesn’t need to be in the Middle East, and what might be America’s most neglected history lesson – the country’s first and only war against slavery, fought after the American Revolution but long before the Civil War. 02:43:59
This 3x LP record set from 1967 documents the activities of a secret society known as The Illuminati, and their New World Order. Mr. Fagan relentlessly uncovered plots for major historical events. Myron Fagan is considered to be the archetype for the PCT (Paranoid Conspiracy Theorist) This Recording is one of the most interesting and yet horrifying, factual stories of some of the most sensational plots in the history of the world. The findings by Mr. Fagan were split into 6 parts, between these 3 records and are presented to you here, in full. Each record has some descriptive notes on the back of each jacket such as... *Eliminate the Illuminati...see that this message is heard!!! * Play this for the unaware, uninformed and well meaning people who desire to hear the truth. Don't waste your time on the hard core socialists who have already repudiated principle. * Buy Air-time with your club or organization! Get free time! International Workers' Day

55:12
International Workers' Day, also known as Labour Day in some places, is a celebration of laborers and the working classes that is promoted by the international labor movement, anarchists, socialists, and communists and occurs every year on May Day, 1 May, an ancient European spring holiday. The date was chosen for International Workers' Day by the Second International to commemorate the Haymarket affair, which occurred in Chicago on 4 May 1886. This Day has its origins in the labour union movement, specifically the eight-hour day movement, which advocated eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest. Being a traditional European spring celebration, May Day is a national public holiday in many countries, but in only some of those countries is it celebrated specifically as "Labour Day" or "International Workers' Day". Some countries celebrate a Labour Day on other dates significant to them, such as the United States, which celebrates Labor Day on the first Monday of September. The Axis powers agreed on their opposition to the Allies, but did not completely coordinate their activity. The Axis grew out of the diplomatic efforts of Germany, Italy, and Japan to secure their own specific expansionist interests in the mid-1930s. The first step was the treaty signed by Germany and Italy in October 1936. Benito Mussolini declared on 1 November that all other European countries would from then on rotate on the Rome–Berlin axis, thus creating the term "Axis". The almost simultaneous second step was the signing in November 1936 of the Anti-Comintern Pact, an anti-communist treaty between Germany and Japan. Italy joined the Pact in 1937. The "Rome–Berlin Axis" became a military alliance in 1939 under the so-called "Pact of Steel", with the Tripartite Pact of 1940 leading to the integration of the military aims of Germany, Italy and Japan. At its zenith during World War II, the Axis presided over territories that occupied large parts of Europe, North Africa, and East Asia. There were no three-way summit meetings and cooperation and coordination was minimal, with slightly more between Germany and Italy. The war ended in 1945 with the defeat of the Axis powers and the dissolution of their alliance. As in the case of the Allies, membership of the Axis was fluid, with some nations switching sides or changing their degree of military involvement over the course of the war.

During World War II, he was the leader of the Partisans, often regarded as the most effective resistance movement in occupied Europe. While his presidency has been criticized as authoritarian and concerns about the repression of political opponents have been raised, some historians consider him a benevolent dictator. He was a popular public figure both in Yugoslavia and abroad. Viewed as a unifying symbol, his internal policies maintained the peaceful coexistence of the nations of the Yugoslav federation. He gained further international attention as the chief leader of the Non-Aligned Movement, alongside Jawaharlal Nehru of India, Gamal Abdel Nasser of Egypt, Sukarno of Indonesia, and Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana.Broz was born to a Croat father and Slovene mother in the village of Kumrovec, Austria-Hungary (now in Croatia). Drafted into military service, he distinguished himself, becoming the youngest sergeant major in the Austro-Hungarian Army of that time. After being seriously wounded and captured by the Imperial Russians during World War I, he was sent to a work camp in the Ural Mountains. He participated in some events of the Russian Revolution in 1917 and subsequent Civil War. Upon his return home, Broz found himself in the newly established Kingdom of Yugoslavia, where he joined the Communist Party of Yugoslavia (KPJ). He was General Secretary (later Chairman of the Presidium) of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia (1939–1980) and went on to lead the World War II Yugoslav guerrilla movement, the Partisans (1941–1945). After the war, he was the Prime Minister (1944–1963), President (later President for Life) (1953–1980) of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY). From 1943 to his death in 1980, he held the rank of Marshal of Yugoslavia, serving as the supreme commander of the Yugoslav military, the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA). With a highly favourable reputation abroad in both Cold War blocs, he received some 98 foreign decorations, including the Legion of Honour and the Order of the Bath. Tito was the chief architect of the second Yugoslavia, a socialist federation that lasted from November 1942 until April 1992. Despite being one of the founders of Cominform, he became the first Cominform member to defy Soviet hegemony in 1948 and the only one in Joseph Stalin's time to manage to leave Cominform and begin with its own socialist program with elements of market socialism. Economists active in the former Yugoslavia, including Czech-born Jaroslav Vanek and Croat-born Branko Horvat, promoted a model of market socialism dubbed the Illyrian model, where firms were socially owned by their employees and structured on workers' self-management and competed with each other in open and free markets.

The term generally includes the USSR and its satellite states in the Comecon, including Vietnam and its satellites Laos and Kampuchea, North Korea, and China (before 1961.) Cuba is included as well after 1961, but demonstrated independence from Soviet policy following the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. Widespread Soviet hegemony ended with the success of the Revolutions of 1989 against the Warsaw Pact, and the 1991 collapse of the Soviet Union brought the Eastern Bloc and the Cold War to an end. During Joseph Stalin's lifetime, Soviet control over the Eastern Bloc was tested but never seriously challenged by the 1948 Czechoslovak coup d'état and Tito–Stalin Split over control of Yugoslavia, the 1949 Chinese Communist Revolution and Chinese and North Korean involvement in the Korean War against the United Nations. After his death in 1953, the Korean War was halted but not settled and anti-Soviet sentiment sparked the East German uprising. The Eastern Bloc started to break apart in 1956, when new leader Nikita Khrushchev's "Secret Speech" denouncing Stalin helped spark the anti-Soviet Hungarian Revolution of 1956, which was suppressed by a Soviet invasion, and the Sino–Soviet Split with Mao Zedong's China, which gave North Korea and North Vietnam more independence from both, and facilitated the Soviet–Albanian split. The Cuban Missile Crisis preserved the Cuban Revolution from rollback by the United States, but Fidel Castro became increasingly independent of Soviet rule afterwards, most notably in its 1975 intervention in Angola. That year, the fall of former French Indochina to communism following the end of the Vietnam War gave the Eastern Bloc renewed confidence which had been frayed by Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev's 1968 invasion of Czechoslovakia to suppress the Prague Spring, which had led to Albania withdrawing from the Pact, briefly aligning with Mao Zedong's China until the Sino-Albanian split. Under the Brezhnev Doctrine, the Soviet Union reserved the right to intervene in other Communist countries. In response, China moved towards the United States following a 1969 border war which almost went nuclear, and later reformed and liberalized its economy, while the Eastern Bloc stagnated economically behind the capitalist First World. Brezhnev's invasion of Afghanistan nominally expanded the Eastern Bloc, but the war proved unwinnable and too costly for the Soviets, challenged in Eastern Europe by civil resistance in Poland. In the late 1980s, Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev pursued policies of glasnost ("openness") and perestroika ("restructuring") to reform the Eastern Bloc and end the Cold War, which brought forth unrest throughout the bloc. Unlike previous Soviet leaders in 1953, 1956, and 1968, Gorbachev refused to use force to end the 1989 Revolutions against Marxist-Leninist rule in Eastern Europe. The fall of the Berlin Wall and end of the Warsaw Pact spread nationalist and liberal ideals throughout the Soviet Union, which would soon fall itself at the end of 1991. Conservative communist elites attempted to turn back liberal reforms and movements, which hastened the end of Marxist-Leninist rule in Eastern Europe but preserved it in China. Though the Soviet Union and its rival the United States considered Europe the most important front of the Cold War, during the Cold War, the term Eastern Bloc was often used interchangeably with the term Second World. This broadest usage of the term would include not only Maoist China and Cambodia, but short-lived Soviet satellites such as East Turkestan Republic (1944-1949), the People's Repub ...

It was fought over a vast area that included the Pacific Ocean and islands, the South West Pacific, South-East Asia, and in China (including the 1945 Soviet–Japanese conflict). The Second Sino-Japanese War between the Empire of Japan and the Republic of China had been in progress since 7 July 1937, with hostilities dating back as far as 19 September 1931 with the Japanese invasion of Manchuria. However, it is more widely accepted that the Pacific War itself began on 7/8 December 1941, when Japan invaded Thailand and attacked the British colonies of Malaya, Singapore, and Hong Kong as well as the United States military and naval bases in Hawaii, Wake Island, Guam and the Philippines. The Pacific War saw the Allies pitted against Japan, the latter briefly aided by Thailand and to a much lesser extent by the Axis allied Germany and Italy. The war culminated in the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and other large aerial bomb attacks by the Allies, accompanied by the Soviet declaration of war and invasion of Manchuria on 9 August 1945, resulting in the Japanese announcement of intent to surrender on 15 August 1945. The formal surrender of Japan ceremony took place aboard the battleship USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay on 2 September 1945. After the war, Japan lost all rights and titles to its former possessions in Asia and the Pacific, and its sovereignty was limited to the four main home islands. Japan's Shinto Emperor was forced to relinquish much of his authority and his divine status through the Shinto Directive in order to pave the way for extensive cultural and political reforms.

The battle lasted from 10 May 1940 until the surrender of the main Dutch forces on 14 May. Dutch troops in the province of Zeeland continued to resist the Wehrmacht until 17 May when Germany completed its occupation of the whole country. The Battle of the Netherlands saw some of the earliest mass paratroop drops, to occupy tactical points and assist the advance of ground troops. The German Luftwaffe used paratroopers in the capture of several airfields in the vicinity of Rotterdam and The Hague, helping to quickly overrun the country and immobilise Dutch forces. After the devastating bombing of Rotterdam by the Luftwaffe, the Germans threatened to bomb other Dutch cities if the Dutch forces refused to surrender. The General Staff knew it could not stop the bombers and ordered the Dutch army to cease hostilities. The last occupied parts of the Netherlands were liberated in 1945.

By the end of July 1945, the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) was incapable of conducting major operations and an Allied invasion of Japan was imminent. Together with the British Empire and China, the United States called for the unconditional surrender of the Japanese armed forces in the Potsdam Declaration on July 26, 1945—the alternative being "prompt and utter destruction". While publicly stating their intent to fight on to the bitter end, Japan's leaders (the Supreme Council for the Direction of the War, also known as the "Big Six") were privately making entreaties to the still-neutral Soviet Union to mediate peace on terms more favorable to the Japanese. Meanwhile, the Soviets were preparing to attack Japanese forces in Manchuria and Korea (in addition to South Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands) in fulfillment of promises they had secretly made to the United States and the United Kingdom at the Tehran and Yalta Conferences. On August 6, 1945, at 8:15 AM local time, the United States detonated an atomic bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. Sixteen hours later, American President Harry S. Truman called again for Japan's surrender, warning them to "expect a rain of ruin from the air, the like of which has never been seen on this earth." Late in the evening of August 8, 1945, in accordance with the Yalta agreements, but in violation of the Soviet–Japanese Neutrality Pact, the Soviet Union declared war on Japan, and soon after midnight on August 9, 1945, the Soviet Union invaded the Imperial Japanese puppet state of Manchukuo. Later in the day, the United States dropped a second atomic bomb, this time on the Japanese city of Nagasaki. Following these events, Emperor Hirohito intervened and ordered the Supreme Council for the Direction of the War to accept the terms the Allies had set down in the Potsdam Declaration for ending the war. After several more days of behind-the-scenes negotiations and a failed coup d'état, Emperor Hirohito gave a recorded radio address across the Empire on August 15. In the radio address, called the Jewel Voice Broadcast (玉音放送, Gyokuon-hōsō), he announced the surrender of Japan to the Allies. On August 28, the occupation of Japan led by the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers began. The surrender ceremony was held on September 2, aboard the United States Navy battleship USS Missouri, at which officials from the Japanese government signed the Japanese Instrument of Surrender, thereby ending the hostilities. Allied civilians and military personnel alike celebrated V-J Day, the end of the war; however, isolated soldiers and personnel from Japan's far-flung forces throughout Asia and the Pacific refused to surrender for months and years afterwards, some even refusing into the 1970s. The role of the atomic bombings in Japan's unconditional surrender, and the ethics of the two attacks, is still debated. The state of war formally ended when the Treaty of San Francisco came into force on April 28, 1952. Four more years passed before Japan and the Soviet Union signed the Soviet–Japanese Joint Declaration of 1956, which formally brought an end to their state of war.

The leading Axis powers were Nazi Germany, the Kingdom of Italy and the Empire of Japan; while the United Kingdom, the United States, the Soviet Union and China were the "Big Four" Allied powers.

Webinar: New Tool for Antibody Specificity Testing

39:45
This webinar introduces a new technology OriGene develops for the validation of antibody specificity. Non-specific antibodies recognize "off-targets" in addition to their intended targets, which could generate false-positive results. This new tool, High-density Protein Microarray, has been used to test the specificity of commercial diagnostic antibodies and found some are not specific to their targets. This tool is also applied to identify the ultra-specific antibodies UltraMABs.
