Testing Assumptions - Practical Machine Learning Tutorial with Python p.12
We've been learning about regression, and even coded our own very simple linear regression algorithm. Along with that, we've also built a coefficient of determination algorithm to check for the accuracy and reliability of our best-fit line. We've discussed and shown how a best-fit line may not be a great fit, but also explained why our example was correct directionally, even if it was not exact. Now, however, we are at the point where we're using two top-level algorithms, which are subsequently comprised of a handful of smaller algorithms. As we continue building this hierarchy of algorithms, we might wind up finding ourselves in trouble if just one of them have a tiny error, so we want to test our assumptions. https://pythonprogramming.net/sample-data-testing-machine-learning-tutorial/ https://twitter.com/sentdex https://www.facebook.com/pythonprogramming.net/ https://plus.google.com/+sentdex

Detecting Mobile Malicious Web Page Detection In Real Time
Detecting Mobile Malicious Webpages in Real Time Abstract: Mobile specific webpages differ significantly from their desktop counterparts in content, layout, and functionality. Accordingly, existing techniques to detect malicious websites are unlikely to work for such webpages. In this paper, we design and implement kAYO, a mechanism that distinguishes between malicious and benign mobile webpages. kAYO makes this determination based on static features of a webpage ranging from the number of iframes to the presence of known fraudulent phone numbers. First, we experimentally demonstrate the need for mobile specific techniques and then identify a range of new static features that highly correlate with mobile malicious webpages. We then apply kAYO to a dataset of over 350,000 known benign and malicious mobile webpages and demonstrate 90 percent accuracy in classification. Moreover, we discover, characterize, and report a number of webpages missed by Google Safe Browsing and VirusTotal, but detected by kAYO. Finally, we build a browser extension using kAYO to protect users from malicious mobile websites in real-time. In doing so, we provide the first static analysis technique to detect malicious mobile webpages.

Boelens Python research in the field! w/Ari Flagle
Ari Flagle shares what it takes to conduct research in the field. Please consider contributing for his upcoming trip. All Proceeds from the shirts goes straight to Ari. This enables him to continue his research in New Guinea. Shirts: https://www.customink.com/fundraising/boelens-python-research-conservation?ref=copy-link_social_desktop-campaign-page-share-top-v3&utm_campaign=desktop-campaign-page-share-top-v3&utm_content=boelens-python-research-conservation&utm_medium=social&utm_source=copy-link&side=front&type=1&zoom=false Ari says on his site " I have been truly blessed to have been able to travel to this incredible place called New Guinea for 10 years. I have developed life lasting relationships with local people that work hands on with these incredible animals. My main focus regarding this species is to gain a better understanding of this snakes natural behavior and ecology. It has only been within the last few years that we have been making positive leaps towards greater captive success. My goal is to be able to utilize the wild behavior and data to help strengthen our captive understanding of the species making sure we are doing everything we can correctly while we are caring for them. The information that can be used with our animals that are currently in the hands of private collectors and professional facilities can be the starting point of success for the future. This in turn will help in elevating excessive over collection of Boelens pythons. Currently there are three areas that these snakes are being collected from. The prominent spine of mountains referred to as the New Guinea Highlands, dominates the geography of the island, stretching over 1,600 km (1,000 mi) from the 'head' to the 'tail'. Boelens pythons in my opinion aren’t at risk at this specific moment of disappearing from New Guinea. However that could that could change at anytime. The areas that they inhabit have unfortunate interest from mining and deforestation. This is more of a threat to the species then collection in my opinion. There are lots of areas for isolated population to reside that are inaccessible to people to reach.. I am also working with the local people and giving them a better understanding of why not to over collect the snake and how important it is to not explote them. I have been traveling to different sites observing nesting areas and collecting basic population assessments." https://www.projectblackpython.org/ https://www.facebook.com/portcitypythons Instagram @portcitypythons Twitter @portcitypythons http://www.Portcitypythons.com [email protected] CHECK OUT OUR PODCAST: https://www.facebook.com/https://soundcloud.com/joe-phelan-194475994 Some of my favorite reptile supplies! It's very popular because it's easy to learn and use, runs on all operating systems and allows you to build a broad variety of programs: Be that web applications, desktop applications, utility scripts or using it for data science and machine learning. In this course, you'll learn Python from scratch - and you'll do so whilst building your own Blockchain and Cryptocurrency. These are of course also highly trending topics and not a lot of people understand what a Blockchain really is. As a nice side-effect, you will know how a Blockchain works once you completed this course. It's an exciting course project that allows you to learn and apply Python to something you know and you can use. Why Python? As written above, Python is both easy-to-use and extremely versatile and powerful at the same time. Certainly not the worst combination. If you check it on Google trends (and compare it to other programming languages), you'll see that it's very popular these days. It's being used by almost any important company - be that Google, Amazon or Facebook. It's used to run web applications, scripts, desktop programs and machine learning algorithms. This course sets the basics for all these use-cases! Why Blockchain? I believe that you learn something best if you directly apply it to a real-world project. And the Blockchain technology is an exciting trend which is there to stay. In this course, you'll learn a lot about the core concepts of the Blockchain and you'll see how Python can be used for the many aspects that make up a Blockchain and Cryptocurrency. In my opinion, a perfect course project is challenging, interesting, something you know from real-life but also not overly complex. And that's all the case for the Blockchain! It poses some nice challenges where a lot of different Python features can be used to overcome them. It also is something we hear about all the time and yet no one knows how it works. And we can dive into the core Blockchain concepts without spending 100+ hours working on it. Who's teaching you? My name is Maximilian Schwarzmüller and I'm a freelance developer. My focus is on web development but I've been working with Python for many years. It's actually one of the first languages I started with when I was 13. I'm the creator of many 5 star bestseller courses here on Udemy and I love diving into new technologies. That's why I had to dive into this whole Blockchain thing when it became more popular and why I chose it as a project for this course. I can't wait to welcome you on board of this course and I hope you'll enjoy it just as much as I did creating it! :-) What's in the course? Great question! Here's a brief summary: A summary of Python and the Blockchain technology All the base Python syntax you need to know (variables, operators, functions, ...) Loops and conditional statements More complex data structures like tuples or dictionaries A closer look at built-in functions and the standard library Python ships with String manipulation How to work with files Error handling Debugging Object-oriented programming with classes and inheritance Internal & external modules (packages) How to spin up an Http server with the Flask package Handling Http requests (sending & receiving) And more! Ryan Rosario - Sentiment Classification Using scikit-learn
PyData SV 2014 Facebook users produce millions of pieces of text content every day. Text content such as status updates and comments tell us a lot about how people feel on a daily basis and how people feel about the web of things. In this talk, we discuss a system based on scikit-learn and the Python scientific computing ecosystem that describes and models positive and negative sentiment of user generated content on Facebook. Unlike more traditional polarized word counting methodologies, our system trains machine learning classifiers using naturally labelled data to achieve high accuracy.

Algorithmic biases in AI and machine learning - GitHub Universe 2017
Presented by Terri Burns, Twitter. Last year, NPR did a story answering the question, can computers be racist? (Yes.) Not soon after, Microsoft launched an AI chatbot experiment, called Tay, which shut down when the software began spewing hateful speech online. One of the known fears of AI and machine learning is the notion of algorithmic bias, which can create or indirectly allow machines to learn prejudiced behavior. In this talk, we will explore what it really means to “teach” a computer to have prejudices, and what can happen product managers, designers, and engineers are not cognizant of their own biases. Appropriate for both technical and non-technical audiences. What Attendees Can Expect to Learn: Examples of “bad” computing, how personal beliefs and prejudice can manifest in code and product development, and ways to avoid personal bias in algorithms and products. About GitHub Universe: GitHub Universe is a two-day conference dedicated to the creativity and curiosity of the largest software community in the world. Sessions cover topics from team culture to open source software across industries and technologies. For more information on GitHub Universe, check the website: https://githubuniverse.com

Linkliste http://www.imdb.com/robots.txt http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2379713/ https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robots_Exclusion_Standard http://www.imdb.com/conditions http://www.rottentomatoes.com/robots.txt

Modeling Evolution with Tensorflow.js
Neuroevolution is a technique that uses evolutionary algorithms to generate artificial neural networks (ANN), parameters, topology and rules. We can think of it as an optimization strategy, similar to gradient descent, that can in some cases be faster to converge and give better results. We're going to simulate evolution by creating neural network creatures in javascript and having them evolve over time to try and walk across the screen. I'll discuss the steps that our algorithm will take, then code out the neural network class at the end of the video. Neural Networks in Data Mining | MLP Multi layer Perceptron Algorithm in Data Mining
Classification is a predictive modelling. Classification consists of assigning a class label to a set of unclassified cases Steps of Classification: 1. Model construction: Describing a set of predetermined classes Each tuple/sample is assumed to belong to a predefined class, as determined by the class label attribute. The set of tuples used for model construction is training set. The model is represented as classification rules, decision trees, or mathematical formulae. 2. Model usage: For classifying future or unknown objects Estimate accuracy of the model If the accuracy is acceptable, use the model to classify new data MLP- NN Classification Algorithm The MLP-NN algorithm performs learning on a multilayer feed-forward neural network. It iteratively learns a set of weights for prediction of the class label of tuples. A multilayer feed-forward neural network consists of an input layer, one or more hidden layers, and an output layer. Each layer is made up of units. The inputs to the network correspond to the attributes measured for each training tuple. The inputs are fed simultaneously into the units making up the input layer. These inputs pass through the input layer and are then weighted and fed simultaneously to a second layer of “neuronlike” units, known as a hidden layer. The outputs of the hidden layer units can be input to another hidden layer, and so on. The number of hidden layers is arbitrary, although in practice, usually only one is used. The weighted outputs of the last hidden layer are input to units making up the output layer, which emits the network’s prediction for given tuples. Algorithm of MLP-NN is as follows: Step 1: Initialize input of all weights with small random numbers. Step 2: Calculate the weight sum of the inputs. Step 3: Calculate activation function of all hidden layer. Step 4: Output of all layers For more information and query visit our website: Website : http://www.e2matrix.com Blog : http://www.e2matrix.com/blog/ WordPress : https://teche2matrix.wordpress.com/ Blogger : https://teche2matrix.blogspot.in/ Contact Us : +91 9041262727 Follow Us on Social Media Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/etwomatrix.researchlab Twitter : https://twitter.com/E2MATRIX1 LinkedIn : https://www.linkedin.com/in/e2matrix-training-research Google Plus : https://plus.google.com/u/0/+E2MatrixJalandhar Pinterest : https://in.pinterest.com/e2matrixresearchlab/ Tumblr : https://www.tumblr.com/blog/e2matrix24

Raspberry Pi: Twitter Hashtag Monitoring Toy
Using a Raspberry Pi & Python, I created a toy that activates when a given '#' is posted on twitter. The code can be changed so that any hashtag can be monitored. Twython is used, twython listens for the hashtag, and when it receives, sends a low signal to the relay connected to the GPIO pins on the raspberry pi, acting as a switch and completing the circuit, turning the monkey on. I am using Raspbian Jessie (the latest as of 11/12/2016) for this project, with Python 2.7. Connecting the relay to the Raspberry Pi's gpio is easy. Just make sure 'VCC' is connected to the 5V pin of the pi, the 'GND' obviously connects to a ground pin, and the 'IN' pin on the relay connects to one of the GPIO pins (I chose pin 22). You then connect the positive and negative wired from the monkey to the screw terminals of the relay (I soldered the the two contacts inbetween the switch and the battery, however you could just use some electrical tape straight to the batteries). The toy could be replaced with any electronical device that uses a switch to power on. For example turning on Christmas Tree Lights every time '#ChristmasTree' was mentioned on twitter. The possibilities are endless. The project creates a fun and interesting way to monitor the use of hashtags on twitter. NOTE: If you have a Raspberry Pi 2 Model B then you will need a USB wifi adapter. An obviously optional step is to sew a Twitter Logo onto the monkeys chest (with help from your girlfriend). Here is a link to my example code: http://txt.do/ddjva (Just create a .py file and run using 'sudo python 'NAME OF FILE'.py') You also need to apply for the Twitter Codes for the API here: https://apps.twitter.com/ Some code was used from: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/raspberry-pi-twitter-monitor Monkey: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0000V4H4O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Relays: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00ZR3B252/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Raspberry Pi: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Raspberry-Pi-Model-Quad-Motherboard/dp/B01CD5VC92/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1481458640&sr=1-1&keywords=Raspberry+pi+2+model+b A guide I made to recreate the project: http://www.instructables.com/id/Raspberry-Pi-How-to-Create-a-Hashtag-Monitoring-Tw/
