We're teaming up with the Calabasas Day Hikers to do a new series of hikes in the Santa Barbara coastal range. In this first hike of the series, we took the longer, scenic route to Gaviota Peak and Gaviota Hot Springs. Our hike leader, Paul Taylor, led us up to two lookout points which provided incredible sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. After that, we took a steep, rocky trail up past a cool cave and then on to Gaviota Peak where we enjoyed a lunch and some more views. Our last stop of the day was Gaviota Hot Springs where we soaked our tired feet. It was an excellent way to cap off a spectacular day of adventure. Can't wait for the next hike in the series coming up in two weeks!

Wandering to find one of natures hidden gems! Explore everything! 7 miles through rain and fog! Definitely was challenging, highly recommended. The waterfall is in another location I stopped to check out on my way back home, easier hike if you have the time! Enjoy!

Join us as we explore the the abandoned Sunny Acres orphanage in San Luis Obispo, CA. People say it's haunted, but I don't believe in that stuff...still, I added a creepy soundtrack just for fun :) We also camped out next to the 101 for FREE and checked out Gaviota Hot (warm) Springs. Hiking Peak Trail at Hot Springs National Park with my family and our dog. Located in Hot Spring, Arkansas. The trail is a super easy hike for all ages. Only 1.5 miles from the road, to the summit, and back. The trail leads to the top of the mountain, where there is a tower you can go up to for great views. Unfortunately the tower cost money to enter, which we did not bring on our hike. It was an easy hike and can be done by anyone, including small children. I highly recommend the hike if you are visiting Hot Springs National Park. ... The Appalachian Trail from Standing Bear to Hot Springs (mile 241.1 - 274.5). We make great time up the climb to Max Patch to meet my friend Nian who surprised us with North Carolina style BBQ from Luella’s! The following day we meet Fresh ground for the first time, and push to get to Hot Springs by the evening. The weather is finally warming up and I’m thinking it’s time to add a Hawaiian shirt to the wardrobe soon! A bit behind on video uploading... but video of the Gaviota Pass Hike in Goleta, CA. A great scenic hike that takes you through multiple landscapes! A relatively easy hike where we even ran into friendly locals who would go for runs on the weekend. Around 7 miles roundtrip. The view of the coast is breathtaking and there's even small hot springs not too far from the entrance of the hike. Watch out for poison oak... it was everywhere D: Music: Maroon 5-Sugar I do not own the copyright for this material

Despite my shock and surprise, I was able to capture this wildlife encounter on film. Taken while descending the upper switchbacks of 12,000ft Colby Pass, located in the Kings Canyon National Park. Colby Pass is the highest point on the High Sierra section of the Hot Springs Trail.

This gives a good visual of the Trail from the very start to the top. This trail is a continuous incline, and is better suited for an avid hiker. My time is exceptional up, and down..(DO NOT ATTEMPT AT MY SPEED THE FIRST TIME) . I run a good part up and down the of the trail for conditioning. Plan on it being a 2 1/2 to 3 Hour Hike the first time. The trail can get very hot during the summer, with little shade. So, please do not let the coolness at the bottom fool you. Bring plenty of water, on days at 80 F or above. It is a very rewarding Hike for those who make it to the top .. :)

Once you get to the top you forget how tired you are and this sense of gratitude comes over you. I am truly grateful to see these beautiful sites...Thank you!

We hiked the road to the Hot Springs area in Big Bend National Park. This is the road that you can drive and not the trail from Daniels Ranch. We decided to hike it for exercise and to ensure we did no damage to our very low profile car. It was a nice hike for us. We show you the road, the various buildings that has some nice paintings and lastly we run into an illegal horse on the Rio Grande! ;-)

In Part 2 of our Sensational Santa Barbara Series, we once again went to Gaviota State Park just north of Santa Barbara, CA to explore the Gaviota Wind Caves. The caves are located on the western half of the park and we did our hike as a one-way car shuttle to shave off some mileage and elevation gain. To reach our destination, we hiked on a variety of trails including the Yucca Trail, Hollister Trail, Beach to Backcountry Trail, Woodland Trail, Trespass Trail and Tunnel View Trail. At just over 7 miles and a mere 1,000 feet of elevation gain, we had ourselves quite an adventure and the weather couldn't have been more perfect.

In this vlog Hueneme and I hike up to The Gaviota Wind Caves! Located off U.S. Highway 101 in Santa Barbara county, CA. These are quite unique caves, carved from the way the wind moves in the area. The hike is about 4 miles round trip at about 600 feet elevation. Definitely a beautiful hike and an amazing experience! Enjoy!! We hiked to the Gaviota Wind Caves in Gaviota, California. These are caves formations made of sand stone. The trail is about 2.5 miles long. We decided to turn around at the lower caves although the upper caves were only 10 minutes up the hill. The views from the caves and the ridge on the trail was awesome.
