Here's a VRC6 8-Bit cover of the Ripple Star stage theme from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards! This was a lot of fun to make, especially with the various "solo" parts that are just so cool. Ripple Star (8-BIT) - Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
This song was actually really fun to make. I tried to make it bouncy like the original, but adding flavors of Kirby's Adventure and Kirby's Dream Land 2. Sticking with three main channels was hard on this one, but I think it worked out quite well. For the artwork, I had even more fun. I tried to paint the idea that Ripple Star looks like a nice peaceful place, but it has little strange elements scattered throughout. (the MUSIC?) Next song up is probably the boss theme. Depending on how these do, I'll either stay and do more Kirby 64, or I might try some other styles entirely. ===Texture/Sprite Credits=== Spider-Spriter - custom Kirby sprite ===General Info=== My artwork is not meant to be a 100% accurate 8-bit image. It's simply there to go along with the music, so I occasionally bend the rules. My chiptune music is meant to emulate the 2A03 chip, which has two square channels, one triangle channel, one noise channel, and a sample channel. My twitter can be found at https://twitter.com/TaterTotTunes My friend code on Switch is SW-2606-2068-3512. Add me, and maybe in the future when they add more features, I'll organize some tournaments and such. If you like what you see/hear, be sure to subscribe and share with your friends. All remixes are transposed by ear and created using NES VST, all through the power of Mountain Dew. No need to ask for permission! My music can be used in anything you'd like, just leave credit!

Kirby 64 The Crystal Shards - Ripple Star : Stage 1
Ripple Star throws the player for a bit of a loop on its first stage. I really have just about nothing to say about this stage as it is just the very first stage over again except with its appearance swapped and different enemy types. Everything else about it is exactly the same! Thus is why today's video is so short... There is at least one other difference, though. The final shard now requires Needle Bomb instead of just some form of Bomb. That is it as far as this stage goes, though... Enjoy!~

Kirby 64 The Crystal Shards - Ripple Star : Stage 2
Ripple Star seems to be all about short, simple stages... This one is another example as there is very little to it. You start off in a darkened atmosphere near the castle, and proceed to take a route through a well for some reason! The stage is merely small maze... that is basically it in its entirety. The stage is at least an original one, but it still barely has anymore meat to it than the previous stage. At the end you get to run around with invincibility for a bit, but that is really it... The shards are also very easy to come by in this stage. If you start it with Spark Cutter you will be set... as soon as you enter the well, Spark Cutter is needed for the first shard. The second one is slightly off to the left during the underwater portion of the maze, and the last one requires Cutter to get at. Enjoy!~

Kirby 64 The Crystal Shards - Ripple Star : Stage 3
Not too much to say here today. This stage is just a few rooms of enemy gauntlets... Absolutely nothing of real interest to note. Just pick a power you can rampage around with for a bit and you should easily clear all the rooms... just watch out with some moves, as some enemies like to fly too high above you for things like Double Rock to work. The crystal shards are mostly giveaways except one. One requires the Fire Needle power to hit a bulls-eye on the ground with a fire arrow. I did not bother missing a shard on purpose to get the "false ending" for this game... It is the same as any other Kirby game's false ending in that everything seems okay at first, but right at the end something dark is revealed to tell you to go 100% the game. Enjoy!~

Kirby 64 ~ Ripple Star Theme ~♫ [Dubstep REMIX] ~Vonyco
"After over a year since the last remix, Vonyco returns with - what? Dubstep?" Sorry, man. I think you'll enjoy this one however; if there is any style of music that suits the grim undertones of the superficially charming, friendly Kirby series, it is no doubt Dubstep. It is my hope that some of the vulgar brutality that inevitably exists latent within seeming innocence is evoked through this work; pleasantry is socially constructed. OK! Remix of the theme that plays on the map for the "Ripple Star" world in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards for the Nintendo 64 system. See you guys next year - (I am kidding hopefully.) Also, I don't have a lot of experience in electronic music, so I hope this turned out OK.

Mario Paint Composer - Kirby 64 Ripple Star
It took many, many months to finally getting around to finishing this, but I’m glad I did! Here is the dark, jazzy “Ripple Star” theme from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, which is my most loved theme in the game and perhaps all of the Kirby series. (Maybe it’s because it sounds so much like an EarthBound boss…) I knew that making it in Mario Paint would be quite a challenge, especially because of the very fast modulation of the bass and the melody, and as usual, the percussion, which is always difficult to replicate for any song given Mario Paint’s limitations with the mushrooms and boats. Oh well. Either way, I’m very satisfied with the result, and it’s my favorite composition of mine so far. Enjoy! The song has a tempo of 1818 (just like my last 2 songs! It’s like I have a creepy 1818 obsession or something!). It was made with a custom soundfont mostly based on the default, except with these changes: Star → more quiet Dog → Mario 1 octave higher Cat → Flower 1 octave higher Baby face → Heart (default) Heart → Heart 1 octave lower This was done in order to make certain instruments have a much wider range as they did in the original. Thanks to GilvaSunner for uploading the original song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBvUH48bY_I Tags: rc spriter, mario paint, composer, kirby, 64, crystal shards, ripple, star, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (Video Game)

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards - Level 6: Ripple Star
Ripple Star is a planet from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. It is home to the fairies, including Ribbon. It is the only planet besides Planet Popstar to have seriously suffered from the infection of Dark Matter. Ripple Star is the 6th level in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. It comes after Shiver Star, and is followed by Dark Star. In Ripple Star's first appearance, it is severely corrupted by the Dark Matter. However, after Dark Star is created, it is shown cleared of the Dark Matter on the map screen . Ripple Star's boss Miracle Matter poses as the game's "final boss" if the player has not collected all 74 of the Crystal Shards upon facing him. Once the player collects all of the crystal shards and defeats Miracle Matter, the Dark Matter withdraws itself from Ripple Star and explodes in the distance. The victory is short-lived, however, as the Dark Star reveals itself and becomes the game's true final level. Ripple Star's environment is much like Popstar's, having many of the same enemies and similar level design. I was just doing this for fun testing. I ain't a high quality ripper.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards - Level 6: Ripple Star Boss: Miracle Matter [No Damage]
Miracle Matter is the boss of Ripple Star in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. It is the final boss of the game if Kirby does not have all 72 (74 if the shards Kirby and Ribbon found in the second movie sequence are counted) of the Crystal Shards. After beating it, it will explode, revealing a final, large Crystal Shard. Upon obtaining all shards, the final world, Dark Star, becomes accessible, where Kirby confronts 02. Throughout the course of the fight, Miracle Matter's surface will change to represent one of the game's copy abilities. During this time, Miracle Matter will use attacks based on those abilities to harm Kirby. Miracle Matter can only be harmed by whatever ability or projectile is matching the form it is currently in. Otherwise, a force field blocks the attack. As Miracle Matter takes damage, it will stop using some of its forms. Miracle Matter's Forms: Fire Form: In its Fire form, Miracle Matter appears as a fireball with a yellow core. For its attack, Miracle Matter will shift in a direction and shoot simultaneous columns of fire. These leave behind fiery projectiles that can be used against Miracle Matter. There are three variations to this attack. It can shoot fire in vertical columns, which it will do so three times, it can fire in horizontal columns, two or three times, and it can move anywhere on screen and shoot fire columns in all four basic directions, doing so only once. Ice Form: In its Ice form, Miracle Matter represents an ice cube, tilted on its vertices. It simply moves around the area, surrounded by shards of ice that can be used against it. After gliding around for a while, it will stop for a moment, still spinning the fragments around it, and change back. Spark Form: In the Spark form, Miracle Matter is a ball of electricity. Its attack is pretty tricky to dodge: It fires three beams of energy a few seconds apart from each other. These can ricochet off of Miracle Matter. The energy beams go off-screen, reappearing at the corresponding side of the screen (i.e. if they went of the bottom of the screen, they'd appear at the top), and once they get small, they turn into smaller energy balls similar to Miracle Matter. Only then can they be used against the boss. Stone Form: Miracle Matter in its Rock form represents nothing more than a brown boulder. As it hovers, rocks appear on its four sides. It then attempts to drop these rocks on Kirby, dropping two, and then dropping two with itself. After that, it rolls about the ground for a while, stopping near the edges of the area (where Kirby should be to avoid damage), before floating back up. The smaller rocks it spawns are projectiles, but can only be used once they're dropped. Bomb Form: As its Bomb form, Miracle Matter strangely turns into a large black bubble. It surrounds itself with four smaller bubbles. Once it launches the bubbles, they enlarge and bounce around. They then split into two smaller bubbles each, which then bounce around as well. Soon, the smaller bubbles disappear, leaving behind bombs that can be used. Needle Form: The Spike form of Miracle Matter takes on an orange, 8-sided star. Once it transforms, it starts protruding each of its points, one by one, reaching all the way to the edges of the arena. As each of the spikes retract, they leave behind a thorn that can be used against Miracle Matter. Cutter Form: Miracle Matter's Cutter form resembles a crescent-shaped razor (somewhat resembling Fishbone) covered with moving spikes, with smaller crescents trailing behind. This form zips around the screen, in a path that's easy to predict. After a few times, it will dive into the ground, drilling through it, and return to the center. The only usable projectile is the smallest crescent at the tip, which respawns once inhaled. Fun Facts: * Miracle Matter is one of the "fake" Final Bosses, with the real final boss being unlocked after certain requirements are met, such as managing to collect all of a certain item, usually to create the Final Weapons to combat them with. * Usually this fake boss role is filled by King Dedede, although Dark Nebula is fought right after Dark Daroach with no additional requirements in Kirby: Squeak Squad. * Miracle Matter's theme is an arrangement of the standard boss theme. * Miracle Matter's bright coloration is unusual for a creature of Dark Matter. However, it could also be based on the coloration of 0/02. * Miracle Matter's arena is colored differently in the Virtual Console version. In the original version, the background was a dark blue and black void. In the Virtual Console version, the background is black and white, with minor hints of blue. This change was most likely made as the Virtual Console slightly darkens the graphics of whichever game it ports. Kirby 64: Ripple Star - World 6, Vs. Miracle Matter
And here's the final boss. The only one that can be really considered "hard". I had a rough time starting out, but it eventually got easier as time went on. Oh, and for a Kirby game, this boss music was epic. Miracle Matter doesn't really have stages since it's always changing form until you defeat each one. Each of them represents one of the seven copy abilities that Kirby can use and MM can only be damaged by hitting the current form with the corresponding copy ability. So, if Miracle Matter's form is currently fire, he can only be damaged by fire. I'll explain the moves MM uses in each form. Fire: MM will spout out flames from itself horizontally, vertically or both simultaneously Ice: MM will move up and down with six small ice pyramids revolving around it Cutter: MM will move clockwise several times in an attempt to cut Kirby Lightning: MM will shoot out three rays that can ricochet off of its body Needle: MM will extend the spikes on its body to the north, south, east, west and every in-between Rock: MM will move left and right and drop two sets of two rocks. Bomb: MM will shoot out four bubbles that will eventually split into eight bubbles And after that, you get one last cutscene that shows that everything's back to normal. So, that's the end. ^_^ ...Or is it?

Kirby Star Allies: 02/Miracle Matter/Ripple Star [Adeleine & Ribbon Final Boss Theme]
When it was confirmed Adeleine would be added as Kirby 64's representative, the question became: would it be a remix of Miracle Matter's theme to be her final boss music, or a remix of 02's? Well, as it turns out, it's both. And then some. Apologies for the abrupt ending, I was trying to find a point where ending it wouldn't sound too abrupt and I messed it up.
