6 People Who Lost Millions in Bitcoin
Today we are looking at 6 people who have lost MILLIONS by losing or missing out on bitcoin in freak scenarios. These people all WOULD have been Bitcoin millionaires but because of bad luck or bad judgement some of them are left with Pennies. Today's video was done in collaboration with https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwe5uuFJR89BLBeq9UGMcKA Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Bitcoin may feel like it exploded overnight, but for early backers of the cryptocurrency this wasn't exactly so—especially for those individuals who may have sold too early or even lost their stake completely. Let's take a look at some of the poor souls who lost millions in Bitcoin, either entirely by accident or out of impatience. Today's video was done in collaboration with Crypto Coin Consultants. Stay tuned to see more! Number 6. James Howells Imagine the feeling of losing $150 million in a single day! That's exactly what happened to IT worker James Howells. The icing on the cake is that he knows exactly where his 7,500 bitcoins are, but city council won't allow him to search for them, since it's technically against the law to go scavenging through the local landfill. Number 5. Darren McFadden NFL star Darren McFadden lost out on a multi-million dollar Bitcoin fortune through a fraudulent investment of his ex-business manager. McFadden retired from the NFL after 10 seasons at just 30 years old and ended up suing Michael Vick; not the NFL quarterback (but rather, his former business manager) for a sum of $15 million. Number 4. Campbell Simpson Gizmodo Australia editor of technology Campbell Simpson said he unknowingly threw out a portable hard drive seven years ago which today would have held $4.8 million worth of bitcoin. Number 3. The Anonymous Redditor's Cautionary Tale There's a popular Reddit post circulating the internet that goes something like this: an anonymous user had been margin trading for around a year and ended up turning 3 Bitcoin into 200 Bitcoin, which would have been around $4 million dollars during its peak. Number 2. Mt. Gox Another big name in the cryptocurrency world is Mark Karpeles, who was the former head of the world's biggest bitcoin exchange. Number 1. Coincheck Coincheck is one of the biggest cryptocurrency exchanges to date, but as we know much of the cryptocurrency world is at risk for cyber security issues. Coincheck Inc. was one such cybersecurity target. It was also one of the largest heists in history in regards to digital tokens. It wasn't Bitcoin that was stolen, but rather, an obscure coin called NEM that was taken.

Adani Australia
Adani Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate company headquartered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Its diversified businesses include resources, logistics, agribusiness, and energy sectors. [5] The Group is the largest port developer and operator in India with Mundra Port being a commercial port. It owns Fortune, India’s largest edible oil brand through a joint venture with Wilmar International in Singapore. Now here is an article by Hubert Clark Crowell on Appalachian Coal Mining I sat there in the dark alone listening to the drip of water in the distance. Dad was ahead at the face of the mine setting the black powder charges before leaving the mine for the night. I heard a creaking sound above my head, and I moved to another waiting position a few feet away. Suddenly a huge bolder about twice my size fell on the spot that I had been setting just a moment before. Dad had told me to listen to the rocks and that they would warn you before something happened. Black powder was used for the last shot of the day, it was cheaper and the smoke would have time to clear out before the next day. During the day we used dynamite made from nitroglycerin and sawdust that did not produce as much smoke. The miners hated the round boulders that stuck to the roof between the coal seam and the sandstone ceiling. You were always bumping your head on them or when you least expected it they would fall, blocking the road way or tracks in the mine. These boulders consisted of a very heavy rock unlike the sandstone or the fossils found in the border area of the ceiling. They are black like the coal and smooth like something left over from the past when the coal was still exposed to the surface. They could be fossils like the thousands of bamboo looking rocks that have to be picked out of the coal. That was one of my jobs to lean over the moving belt line and pick out the rocks and fossils as the coal passed by. I was about thirteen when dad starting taking me to the mine during the summer months. He said it was to give me something to keep me busy and out of trouble while school was out. On Friday he would give me ten dollars for the week and I would spend it on the Saturday movies. Once he gave me a hundred-dollar bill by mistake and I did not realize it until I paid for my movie ticket. Of course I brought him the change back. Being a boy, I played around the mine more than I worked. As long as I made up a good pile of dummies, paper bags about a foot long and the size of the dynamite sticks, and was around when the belt started running, I was free to roam and play on the tipple or explore the mountain side. I must have some attachment to the coal mines of the Appalachian mountains. I was born in a small coal mining community in the eastern Kentucky coal fields. Dad was a supervisor in charge of one of the mining crews. He started mining in western Kentucky and had taken a job near Seco, Kentucky in 1941. I was born that year in a coal mining town. On December 30, 1970, I awoke after having a nightmare about a coal mine disaster and I shared the vivid dream with my wife. I had never dreamed about mines or disasters before and was quite surprised. Later that day we heard on the news about the Finley Coal Co., explosion in which 38 were killed. The location of the mine was given as eastern Kentucky near Hyden, Kentucky, only a few miles from Seco where I was born. The explosion was caused by excessive coal dust and other combustible materials, insufficient rock dust, and other violations. The coal dust explosion was so extensive that dust and other materials were expelled from all eight openings of the mine. Thirty-four widows and 103 children were left to mourn the loss. I do not know what possible connection other than being born so close to the disaster could cause me to have that dream. I only lived there a short time and had no relatives in the area. During the spring of 1954 we moved to Hale Town, Tennessee on the Tennessee river near the Alabama and Tennessee state line. Hale Town was no more than post office and a trailer park found up Hicks Hollow Road. A few miles north, Aetna Mountain Road winds up Aetna Mountain where dad leased coal on the side of the mountain. Claude Cain, a close friend and mining partner built the tipple and assembled the belt line that ran from the mine to the hill side for loading the coal onto trucks. Why Did People Vote For Trump?
Who's Still With Trump? (2016): As the saying goes, 'win Ohio, win the White House'. Once America's industrial heartland, the so-called Rust Belt has been in steady decline for decades. Young, female, and African American would statistically put them firmly in Hillary's camp. But the last 8 years of Democratic leadership have seen their hometown of Akron, Ohio slip deeper into despair. "I'd like us to get back to where our jobs were here, and our education back on top. He actually supports all of that, so he's my guy", says Shonore. It's a similar story in nearby Lorain. Carlos, a Dominican immigrant, is one of tens of thousands left jobless and hopeless after the collapse of the steel industry. "When the economy went bad for the auto industry, for the banks, they all got bailed out... We were like the Titanic, nobody came to help". With his future uncertain, Carlos is another unlikely vote for Trump. Across the border in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania the situation is also dire. Bobby Erjevik lost his job as a teacher due to budget cuts following the closure of the mine. He wasn't the only one, "we've lost 25,000 teachers in 5 years, so we are most definitely in crisis mode", says Missy Wilson. But will the Rust Belt's plight be enough to save Trump? The ONE Quality My Top Students Share (It's Not What You Think)
What do all my millionaire students have in common? SUBSCRIBE: https://bit.ly/2MDNeVq to get INSTANT alerts when I post a new video outlining my penny stock trading techniques.* There are more and more millionaire students. Some of them are not public. They like to be private with their money. So I know that they're millionaires. You don't necessarily know them, but it's kind of cool that there are some similar traits that I see.* First and foremost, they live in boring places. A lot of people from the Midwest in the US. There's not a lot to do, there's bad weather most of the year. So they have a lot of time on their hands. That seems to be the common trait amongst all my millionaire students and even a lot of my six-figure students who are coming up on a million. They have a lot of time.* Every single one of my top students studies my video lessons, my DVDs, my webinars. They are incessant studiers. They are some of the top, most active users on profitly, because they're just sitting there watching, learning from the past, taking notes, studying what strategies and what patterns and what rules work, because they're constantly tinkering. That's what you have to think of yourself as, kind of like this tinkerer, this scientist. There's no easy, magic pill to take to become a millionaire. You're gonna have to grind. You're gonna have to hustle. You're gonna have to study. You're gonna have to find what strategy and what patterns work for you. And I can't answer that. Everyone has a different personality. Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses, but I will tell you, the more that you study, the greater your odds of success. That is the one thing that I know for sure.* When you study from me and my top students, you get a whole group effort. And you can kind of take and pick and choose from different traders what you will. Again, don't try to copy any one of us. Try to take a little something from each trader. This is why Steven Dux, my newest millionaire student, has become the quickest millionaire, because he's learning from a whole bunch of other people, rather than just me. So it's very cool. I love my job, I want more millionaire students. I know that sounds like an impossible feat, but again, I already have done it.* The more that you study, the better your odds of success. If you ignore me, if you don't wanna study, you just probably won't be a millionaire. That's fine. I can't guarantee you that making millions will make you happy, but it does give you freedom. And when you have freedom, then you have time to figure out what makes you happy. I know very few people that are happy working for somebody else, working in the rat race or commuting every day or being in debt.* I think it's good to be a millionaire, depends on how badly you want it. Leave a comment underneath this video. Let me know if you're gonna be a dedicated student. My team of millionaires and I will gladly teach you.* * Results may not be typical and may vary from person to person. Making money trading stocks takes time, dedication, and hard work. There are inherent risks involved with investing in the stock market, including the loss of your investment. Past performance in the market is not indicative of future results. Any investment is at your own risk. See Terms of Service here: https://www.timothysykes.com/terms-of-service/.

Festival of Dangerous Ideas 2013: Satyajit Das - The Australian Dream is Over
Australian dreams of prosperity were built on the wealth trinity -- a good well-paying job, a nice house and comfortable retirement financed by superannuation. Unfortunately this has now become an illusion. Australians are now members of the 'precariat', the precariously employed proletariat. Globalisation's combination of off-shoring and relentless technological change has reduced job security and income for all but a select few. Housing was seen as an Australian birth right and retirement nest egg leading to massive over-investment in real estate. Now lower housing affordability and reliance on housing prices has undermined this pillar of the Australian prosperity. As for superannuation, unrealistic expectations, poor returns and investment losses mean that the golden years of retirement funded by super have vanished. How did the great Australian dream come to this? Satyajit Das outlines the reality of Australian prosperity. In this provocative talk, he shows how in the words of historian George F. Kennan: "The truth is sometimes a poor competitor in the market place of ideas -- complicated, unsatisfying, full of dilemmas, always vulnerable to misinterpretation and abuse". Satyajit Das is a former banker and the author of the books Extreme Money and Traders Guns & Money. He is a regular financial commentator for international news outlets, and appeared in the Oscar-winning documentary Inside Job as well as television documentaries for PBS Frontline and BBC TV. Chair: Whitney Fitzsimmons hosts the Business Today program on ABC News 24 and on Australia Network. Previously, she presented news for Australia Network, worked as a senior producer for Lateline and reported on stories for the ABC's domestic news service. http://sydneyoperahouse.com/ideas Subscribe and find more videos from Ideas at the House: http://www.youtube.com/ideasatthehouse Get a new talk every week on our podcast: Audio - https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/sydney-opera-house-ideas-at/id640445035 Video - https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/sydney-opera-house-ideas-at/id640444896 Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/IdeasAtTheHouse Twitter - https://twitter.com/ideasatthehouse

Australia's economy grew at a better-than-expected 0.9% in the first quarter of 2015, compared to the previous quarter. Forecasts were for quarterly growth of between 0.5% and 0.7%. Despite pressure from the business community, the country's central bank did not cut its lending rates to help boost the economy. The decision saw Australian stocks fall 1.72% as investors saw little hope of a further cut in the near future. Australia's economy has been adjusting to a post-mining landscape. It saw its economy grow 0.5% in the October to December 2014 period from the quarter before, when growth was 0.4%. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-32970412#sa-ns_mchannel=rss&ns_source=PublicRSS20-sa http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by Wochit using http://wochit.com

Trump Killing Huge Job Creator
Trump is killing the solar industry, one of the fastest growing job creators in the country. Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian, the hosts of The Young Turks, discuss why. This clip is brought to you by http://www.Aspiration.com/TYT Read more here: https://thinkprogress.org/sunpower-to-cut-us-solar-jobs-e41d0972aa0c/ “President Trump’s decision to impose tariffs on imported solar materials is already taking its toll on U.S. jobs. After putting plans on hold last month to expand its factories in the United States, SunPower Corp., one of the nation’s largest solar panel manufacturers, now intends to lay off between 150 and 250 workers from its U.S. operations, or 3 percent of its global workforce, as part of a plan to cut operating expenses by 10 percent. SunPower attributed the job cuts to the 30-percent tariffs imposed by the Trump administration on imported solar cells and panels, The Hill reported Wednesday. Company chief executive Tom Werner estimates the new tariffs will cause the company to lose $50 million in 2018 and as much as $100 million in 2019. Werner’s comments built on information that SunPower released in a filing submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) last week. The news also came only two weeks after SunPower reported a 35-percent decrease in revenue in 2017 compared to 2016. Werner told The Hill that it has already begun the layoffs. Based in San Jose, California, SunPower imports most of its components from manufacturing facilities in the Philippines and Mexico.” Hosts: Cenk Uygur, Ana Kasparian Cast: Cenk Uygur, Ana Kasparian *** The Largest Online News Show in the World. Australian government is planning harsh austerity measures to curb public spending
The new austerity program will see 70 government agencies closed or merged and up to 16-thousand civil service jobs slashed. Under the new plan, the retirement age will be pushed up to 70, welfare benefits and payments will be slashed, and the rich will have to pay more tax. The nation will also see a hike in fuel prices and people will have to pay out of their own pockets to visit the doctor. The new premier has defended the government's 20-14 budget, calling it QUOTE "short-term pain with a purpose". Tony Abbott says the country has a very serious debt and deficit problem that needs to be solved.

Hillary Clinton Still Can’t Get Over Losing, Blames FBI, Comey, Russia, and WikiLeaks (REACTION)
Hillary Clinton still can’t get over losing the 2016 Presidential Election to Donald Trump. She says that if the election was on October 27th then she would have won, but due the FBI’s James Comey’s letter and also WikiLeaks, many potential Hillary voters were scared off. She said this during a sit-down interview at the Women for Women International Charity luncheon in New York. She then went on to make a few more excuses .. including but not limited to her gender saying that it “played a role.” To her credit, she did say that she did not run a perfect campaign. Even though that statement is understating what actually happened. Hillary Clinton ran a terrible campaign. One that was motivated by fear and division, rather than one of unity and a return of power to the people which is how Donald Trump ran his campaign. Although some would say it was the other way around, obviously not enough people in enough places would agree with that judging by the vote tally. She did win the popular vote by about three million but much of that vote was centralized in major states like California and New York. She did not get enough votes in smaller places that count towards the Electoral College. Maybe because of her remarks about taking away coal jobs from very economically depressed areas in the Appalachian region. Maybe there were many more issues than just the aforementioned that caused Hillary Rodham Clinton to lose the 2016 Election. The main tree with many branches here is that of Hillary Clinton’s outright corruption. From the private email server in her home, to her husband Bill Clinton ambushing then Attorney General Loretta Lynch on the tarmac to talk about Hillary Clinton’s case, to funny business that happened during the primaries, to railroading Bernie Sanders, and much more. All of those things, plus her behavior in the past, and her basically lack of a political track record from a lifetime of politics may have been the reasons she failed a second time to secure the presidency. Not because of James Comey writing a letter or “the Russians” “hacking the election.” Which I thought wasn’t possible anyway if you let Hillary Clinton’s besties, the mainstream media, tell it? –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– If you want to support me to continue to crank out these videos, please visit my website ► http://www.anthonyblogan.com/contact/ and click on that donate button for me! COERB Speaker Series: Stakeholder Engagement in the Mining Sector with Richard Ross
The Mining industry globally is going through a significant change in how it engages with its stakeholders and how the value of resources in the ground is allocated amongst the various stakeholders. This has taken the form of bigger capital and operating expenditures necessary for enhanced environmental performance, broader community engagement and resulting in higher investments in community priorities as well as larger piece of the economic pie being allocated to governments through higher taxation and direct equity stakes in projects.

QandA - Pine vs Albo
Audience: Coalition 45%, ALP 32%, Greens 12%, Other/Unspecified 10% Discuss the Questions Here are the questions our panel faced this week. Tell us what your answer would be or what you think our panellists need to say. ELECTION: LET MALCOLM BE MALCOLM RHYS WHITELOCK asked: The latest news poll shows that labor is now ahead of the coalition, and that Malcolm Turnbull’s overall net satisfaction is the same as Bill Shorten’s. I myself have always been an avid Liberal supporter, however Malcolm has not lived up to expectations since taking the top job. Is it time that the far right of the Liberal Party started letting Malcolm be Malcolm to win back voters such as myself? INTER-GEN DEBT ALICE MARTIN asked: Not only are we expecting our younger generation to take on significant debt to finance their higher education but we are demanding that they shoulder the burden of ballooning government debt. Is any party going to launch a credible attempt to bring the budget back to surplus or is the clamour from potential losers always too loud? $50B SUBS PETER MOGGACH asked: If both major parties agree that we should be aiming to restrict the budget deficit, why is defence spending apparently exempt from restraint? No one has explained to me why we need 12 expensive submarines while other countries (eg NZ) get along securely without any. Couldn't that money be better spent, or even saved? ILLAWARRA UNEMPLOYMENT SANDRA BOURKE asked: We are now living with third and fourth generation welfare and a youth unemployment rate of 15.5% in the Illawarra. Local industry is struggling with many at risk of shutting permanently, mines are putting workers off and very few are confident of Bluescope’s future. I see aging tradesman and craftsman everywhere with decades of skills and knowledge that will die with them because nobody is employing and passing on the art of their trade. Schools are focused on technology which if we are lucky will make up about 20% of students ,but what about the other 80%? What do you plan to do about youth unemployment and securing a future not just for them but for Australia? INNOVATION + CSIRO CUTS APRIL BRENNAN asked: Last year as Education Minister, you said STEM subjects like maths and science are vital to our future and should be compulsory for senior students. At the same time, your government slashed funding to the CSIRO. As a result, important jobs there are going, including in climate change. What's there for students to aspire to when they are encouraged to study science while a body as successful as the CSIRO is being decimated? Why should we think science and innovation is important, if you don’t? A SECRET ETS? LEO COLEMAN asked: Last election, climate policy, in particular the ‘carbon tax’ was at the forefront of debate. However, during this election, comparatively little has been debated over climate policy. Today, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the ‘safeguard mechanism’ within the Coalition’s direct action plan is ‘essentially a cap and trade ETS’, as described by The Australian. Such a program, if utilized correctly, would be very effective in reducing emissions. Why has the Government not publicised their own virtual ETS during this election cycle? FACEBOOK QUESTION LUCY ASHLEY asked: Can both Christopher and Anthony explain why we should trust either party after the donation scandal exposed tonight on four corners? DUTTON COMMENTS JOSEPH FAGGION asked: Are Mr Dutton’s comments regarding “illiterate innumerate refugees” being a drain on Australia's welfare system and economy another example of a government that is out of touch? Further more is the Liberal party generally super embarrassed whenever that guy opens his mouth? REFUGEE COSTS FRED SPEER asked: With many of our veterans are suffering and living on the streets after being discharged and tossed aside. Anthony Albanese how do you intend to pay for all the refugees that you want to bring here when we are being told that our country is in massive debt ($316 billion)? GREENS & ASYLUM NICOLA DOWSE asked: It’s been suggested that this election the Greens will present a major challenge to Labor seats. While I’ve traditionally supported the policies of Labor, a key issue for me, and for many other young voters, is asylum seekers. Why shouldn’t I vote for the Greens, when the alternatives of Labor and the Coalition both support the cruel and essentially indefinite offshore detention of people seeking asylum?
South Africa has an acute productivity challenge: Economists
South Africa has an acute productivity challenge. That's according to some economists following comments made by Anglo American CEO Mark Cutiffani during the release of the global mining giants financial results last week. Cutiffani warned that if the problem of low productivity was not addressed as a matter of urgency, job losses would continue.
