Let me know what you think! The music is some little demo I made a while back and never finished/shared... Now it has a purpose! Nerd stuff: This is achieved with a single custom fragment shader running in Unity 5. All of the morphs/warps are the result of changing parameters on lights in the scene - the actual material itself doesn't get modified during runtime, except for texture offsets (which translate at a constant rate). The magic is all in how the shader samples Unity's built-in lighting features. At the moment I'm limited to 4 point lights thanks to forward-rendering, but I should be able to fix that in the deferred pipeline. The video demonstrates a few key things: - Light attenuation at different distances, different light radii, and different light intensities. - Blending shadow intensity to 'fade' shadows in/out. - Moving lights/shadows. - Multiple point light sources. - Directional lighting (I faded out the point lights whilst showing this, but it works fine to have a mix of directional + point). More info on this system and how to get can be found at http://www.west-racing.com/mf Some examples of a mesh modifier system I have written for use in Unity3D. It behaves like the Modifier system that can be found in max so the user can have a stack of operations to produce an end result, the order can be changed as well etc. The system currently supports over 50 deformations and 20 space warps some of which are: Bend Bubble Bulge Conform Crumple Curve Deform Curve Sculpt Cylindrify Displace FFD (2x2x2, 3x3x3, 4x4x4) Hump Melt Morph Noise Page Flip Path Deform Pivot Adjust Point Cache Push Radial Skew Relax Ripple Rubber Scale Skew Squeeze Stretch Taper Twist Vertex Animation Vertex Paint Wave World Path Deform XForm Any number of modifiers can be applied to a mesh or skinned mesh and each can be turned off. Each modifier can have its own offset to alter the effect on the mesh. If no updates to a modifier takes place then it takes no CPU time which makes it quite handy for in game effects. The video above only shows a selection of the modifiers working, I will do a another video to show the FFD for example.

This is the first test of a dynamic ripple/water modifier for the Unity3D MegaFiers system. This will allow interaction with the fluid from objects or external actions such as a finger gesture. This is just the first test, the quality and features will be improved and added to. Currently you can control the force with which you interact with the fluid, the number of elements making up the fluid sim, the damping and the wave height as well as the axis the wave moves on. The system will work with any shape mesh not just squares or rectangles. I plan on adding configurable barriers and a better wake simulation.
