Hello :) I really enjoyed watching this. You have a nice voice to listen to also :) I used to have a Minelab 3000 metal detector and did find gold but I have always been interested in the tresure hunting side. I am surprised the 1 and 2 dollar coins are so far under. Why would they be at the depth they are being found at since they are a reasonably newish coin.

I did find my only piece of gold at the Styx Bendigo. The guys at the Detecting shop took me out. They told me if you find a coin in the area it is worth 10 000 dollars, sorry I cannot think of the name of it. I never found one either but apparently they are still around the Styx area near Bendigo. My coins I have I usually find gardening. I will keep watching your videos. Really enjoying them and wishing I was out there too. It looks like fun :)
Laura Traval hey. That is an ongoing question on the depth of these newish coins and even more interesting is how aluminium cans get so deep. Time and gravity can be the most common of answers and the help of land fill in some situations. Thank You for your kind words by the way... Treasure hunting is amazing and I am totally swept away by it... Gold is Gold but treasure can be awesome and always an adventure to find... Kindest Regards Neil.

You are one lucky dude to get permission on that site, well done. I like to listen to the different tones on the CTX I picked one as rubbish the second I heard that low tone but called it for a pull tab, and picked the high tone as a coin, which turned out to be your 1951 Florin find. I would love you to do more live digs, keep coming with them Neil, loved it great presentation mate.
Thank You Daryl... I Will :) You Are Johnny On The Spot... Kindest Regards Neil

I find coins cut just like those two you found at the asylums lawns and sorry to dissapoint your theory on them. They were originally right on the top of the lawn and were picked up by a close cutting lawn mower, spun around once or twice and chopped by a sharp blade. I've even found a two dollar coin done like those and changed it for a whole one at the bank and the other day recently a dollar folded at ninety degree angle. Luckily it flattened out without breaking. I've got a special tin for all my lawn mower damaged coins chipped and chopped by a lawn mower in various ways. Cheers mate. GL &HH.:-)
