How To Mine PASCAL COIN with AMD GPU in WINDOWS New on Poloniex Pasa

154 ratings | 21464 views
Pascal Coin was recently added to Poloniex. This is a guide on how to get started Mining Pascal Coin with AMD GPUs. Note Currently there are no Pascal Coin Pools and the only way to mine it is through Solo Mining. Special Thanks to Gege for brining Pascal Coin to my attention and showing me the GPU miner. From pascalcoin: For everybody that's having issues with OpenCL v0.2 miner, please read: - If you're using NVIDIA, I don't know if it works properly, I haven't tested it - If when executing PascalCoinMiner.exe a raise exception is shown... perhaps there is an error with your OpenCL drivers, check that you have a valid version. If version is valid, then sorry... it doesn't work - If you want to know if your miner is working properly (and finding valids "nonce" for generate a block) , read this trick and try it (posted days ago) Quote from: PascalCoin on January 24, 2017, 11:17:45 PM A small trick for PascalCoinMiner (OpenCL miner v0.2) You can add -t param (this param is not documented, I used it for testing purposes) What does param -t do: When Wallet sends a job to the miner, "target" is a 32 bits value with left-byte indicating how many "0" bits on the left must have the PoW Example: target=2DD63426 -> Left byte 2D is equal to 45 in decimal, so, first 45 bits of PoW must be "0" When you add -t param you can subtract the indicated left bits, for example, a "-t 10" then miner will find 45-10=35 left "0" bits of PoW With this example, your miner will submit a work to your wallet more quickly, but of course, wallet will say that "pow is lower than target" because is an invalid PoW It will help you to visually see if your miner is working properly Try it. Code: PascalCoinMiner.exe -p 0 -d 1 -s -n Test -t 10

I'm mining Pascal with 4 Vega 64s, and I'm getting roughly 4100 h/s. At current prices, it's not the most profitable venture, but if there's any bump in price on these things, it'll be a gold mine.
Rick Nuthman (1 year ago)
how do you do this in the new version 2.1.2 of the wallet? It says that the miner is built in, but I can't figure out how to start it
Ruggero Sileoni (1 year ago)
it's quite different on last version of this program. can you help me please?
Jeroen vd Velden (1 year ago)
There is no pascalminer.exe in my folder. I want to mine on nanopool with Claymore's Dual Ethereum + Decred/Siacoin/Lbry/Pascal AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner. How do I find my Pascal Wallet and Payment ID?
Jeroen vd Velden (1 year ago)
Ok thanks.
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
Probably best to get a wallet from an exchange
svx (1 year ago)
Excellent video. BTW, has anyone found a block solo mining recently, and if so what is the stats on your rig? thnx! :)
miklas siivonen (1 year ago)
The miner said My valid blocks found: 1 but in wallet i cant see that i found a block 0.o.
Jalal El Mir (1 year ago)
It started mining with CPU instead of GPU ? Please how can I change it to GPU mining ?
javier diaz (1 year ago)
where is the mine program?
HighBeatSongs (1 year ago)
Works all fine, until my CMD crashes :/
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
you should probably be pool mining... if it crashes try lowering your core clock OR increase power draw
Dimitri karkarov (1 year ago)
Hello. How i send the money to my Poloniex? Thanks
SmokeyNL (1 year ago)
Did you find Any block yet ?
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
nope, trying pool mining now :P
Houssem Melki (1 year ago)
hello, what is the second choice to find coin , not by solo mining :)

Hi Guys; I don't know why but when I start "Pascal Coin Wallet" it is crashing with "Invalid file type" message. Following is "An error occurred during initialization. application cannot continue. Access violation at address 0055a640 in module 'PascalCoinWallet.exe' Read of address 0000004C Application will close" Is there any chance to know why? My Os is Win7 Por x64

sorry, i dont know
Robert Jansen (1 year ago)
Jumped on as well, no block found in 12 hours or so. Trading is pure crazyness @ Poloniex right now.... Volume is through the roof. I got in a bit late though, only about 8% profit so far (fingers crossed the pump will continue).
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
yup, this drive is more natural and in the opposite direction that zcash started in LOL hopefully you have luck selling when the time is right, i wish you goodluck what I dont like about zcash, is that its a for profit company... so that makes me question the price more... and the investors... if they somehow keep the price propped up... and with it being a company... i wonder if the US government can force the "company" to stop developement whenever the US government feels like it... also since it competes with the federal reserve - if they can put the developers in prison.... thats one reason why im very skeptical about holding any zcash to be honest. its like if anyone else prints money to compete with the USD, they can go to jail for a very very long time... i wonder how those laws can be enforced against electronic money... maybe calling it Z"Cash" was not the best name... as cash does suggest money.. and since its US based... that is money competing against the USD... which is illegal right? like walking on the edge of a razor blade
Robert Jansen (1 year ago)
Haha yes, I can imagine. The difference is though hype of this new coin was driving up those prices. Now the fact that it's purely just added to Polo seems to be driving prices up. That and it's an interesting coin. We'll see, what goes up must come down. Hopefully I'll get out before that happening though.
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
LOL sorry when you said ZEC I almost spit out the water I was drinking :P. always welcome, glad you find them helpful.
Robert Jansen (1 year ago)
Last time I traded a volatile coin like this it cost me a lot of money (I'm looking at you ZEC), but we'll see. Oh and thanks for your guide btw =)
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
oh you bought some? :) thats cool too
TheXmikkel (1 year ago)
Any ideas why my rig shuts down after like 10 secs of mining? 2x470 4gb (One of them has modded eth bios)? also shuts down by opening trixx - 700 watt psu
TheXmikkel (1 year ago)
Cool, I'll switch :)
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
suprnova might be better, faster miner and i seem to be earning pasc much faster than I was on nanopool
TheXmikkel (1 year ago)
Well, I "fixed" it by joining nanopool. They have modified miner that should work, but not for solo mining i guess.
jx (1 year ago)
i cant find it, can you help me out? how did you fix yours?
TheXmikkel (1 year ago)
jx someone Linked in the bitcointalk somewhere
Gumersindo Espinoza (1 year ago)
Where do I look for the ip that I should place?
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
what do you mean another platform? AMD vs NVIDIA? for using multiple rigs with one wallet, the info is near the end of the video... instead of using the default 127.0.0.1:4009, you type in the IP of your rig with wallet... so if your rig with wallet is 192.168.1.2 and your other mining rig is 192.168.1.3, you would launch the miner on rig with IP 192.168.1.3 and instead of hitting enter to use 127.0.0.1 you would enter in the IP for the rig with wallet: 192.168.1.2:4009
Gumersindo Espinoza (1 year ago)
Yes, how do I set up another platform in the same wallet?
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
For extra rigs using the same wallet, You should log in to your router and check your IP's. that is where I check. Is that your question?
24h of mining 11gpu's rx 470 - 0 blocks, stop mining, back to ETH) No luck for me and difficulty is to high now: 2500 - 5000 (yesterday it was 1000-1600).
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
It says about 4 days for me to find a block, but still based on luck... Ive been at it for over 24 hours now.. so I will keep trying... I'll quit if a pool starts or if I have just had enough of checking and seeing 0 blocks found... id like to give it a couple days,.. but at this difficulty, ETH might be most profitable again anyways
ZeRo Ko01 (1 year ago)
Hi Cryptomined How can I see, how many PASC I mied? You know how can you linked with the poloniex wallet? And how can I connect a 2do miner with the same account? Thx
ZeRo Ko01 (1 year ago)
Thank you so much, that's the information that a i needed :D
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
its at the end of the video.. if you have your wallet open on rig 1, and its router ip is 192.168.1.2... and your rig2 router IP is 192.168.1.3... instead of hitting enter when you launch the miner, dont use 127.0.0.1 and use 192.168.1.2:4009 (whatever your rig1 with wallet router IP is) that will use the wallet on rig1 for the miner on rig2. is that what you mean? does that help?
ZeRo Ko01 (1 year ago)
Thx for the reply!!! I have two rigs, could you tell me how can I connect 2 rigs with the same account? (I mean like adding workers on zcash) Nice video :)
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
Once you mine a block you can click the box to sort accounts with your existing keys, this will show you your accounts and rewards I dont actually use poloniex so I am not sure, sorry. I don't use poloniex because its not a local exchange... i tend to only use exchanges that trade in CNY (I live in china...). the only exchange outside of Asia that i have an account for is Kraken, but I have not even used it yet :P
Jose Alberto (1 year ago)
Alone in world error. Time/zone are syncronized. What to do? :(
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
I got this at first too.. and my wallet would not sync... what I did to fix it was to set my time and time zone in windows to "automatic" so that it suncs with internet time properly... try that and let me know if it works please, thanks
TC (1 year ago)
Can you CPU mine this?
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
when it first launched you could, but i no longer see that option in the wallet so im not sure.. I dont see any CPUminer for it in the up-to-date download page.

How to make on linux?
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
I dont know, i dont think there is a working miner for linux yet
thnx for the video!) who knows how to put together distant miners? ive tried to export private key to another wallet installed on a 2nd rig but it doesn't work....it works but i want to connect my mining powers!)) help!)
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
why not just use the wallet from the first rig and point the miner to that wallet?

Hi a great video can you tell us how much can mack with rx 480 thanks
Mario Gallardo (1 year ago)
Ugh it's crashing right after i type in my name
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
thats kind of fast, my GPUs didnt like the high clock of 1340 and crashed sometimes so I downclocked them... to 1260 MHz... does that help you?
Anže Čimžar (1 year ago)
is it ok tha it is conected to this ip 127.0.0.1:4009?
Anže Čimžar (1 year ago)
thank you very much
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
yes, if you are mining on the same computer that your wallet is hosted on you will want to use that IP. Otherwise if you are mining from a different computer than your wallet is on, you will want to use the IP of the rig that your wallet is on... Example, if your wallet is on Router IP 192.168.1.11 and your mining on rig with Router IP 192.168.1.12, you will want to enter the Router IP of your wallet computer, 192.168.1.11:4009
SmokeyNL (1 year ago)
10 hours mining stil no luck im done with this
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
might be but its more fun mining for it :)
SmokeyNL (1 year ago)
maybe its better to buy the coins on poloniex ?
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
right, if i dont find a block i wasted a lot of electric... so even if I loose money on the investment I rather find something ill let it run for a few days, week MAX if i dont find anything after several days, week max,.. ill take the loss i guess... hopefully a pool does open up soon the only problem with a pool... and if you havent found a block - is that your going to need to buy an account #
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
will they? i read in a post that ocminer didn't think they could make a pool cause it was totally different set up.. is he working on one now?
Rusty Debier (1 year ago)
That is correct if you quit then it was all for nothing, that is the advantage to a pool. Suprnova will have a pool ready soon.

My single R9 290 vapor-x gets me around 535 h/s, is it worth mining only with this one card or should i transfer more gpus to mine pascal?
wildiazdelgado (1 year ago)
cool Thanks!
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
cool, i think there are 2 calculators now for this, the cryptocompare one which you can find in these comments and the one at http://whattomine.com/coins/172-pasc-pascal?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=2650&p=1400&fee=0.0&cost=0.14&hcost=0.0&commit=Calculate currently i think it takes me average 4 days to find a block, but still based on luck... could take weeks,.. could take a day
wildiazdelgado (1 year ago)
Hello man, great video! i will put around 100 GPUs on this (rx series) and tell you how many time does it took me to find a block
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
i have 13 GPu minine now, and still not found a block in over 17 hours, so i guess its more based on luck, ofcoarse the more you put on it, the more chance of luck you will have... so its hard to say

Hi - where can I find my account number in wallet?
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
You will not get an account number until you mine a block... if you want an account without mining a block you have to find someone to give you one. Each mined block produces you 5 accounts.
Anže Čimžar (1 year ago)
everything is working, but when i write my miner name when miner starts, it wont start it any idea? - is stops working immidiately

How to transfer the drowned coins to the poloniex account?
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
I still need to mine a block to get an account, and I actually don't use poloniex. If i get a block ill try to transfer to an exchange,. but 17 hours now and no block from the 2 rigs in this video. ... difficulty is too high now.. too many miners started to mine this in the last day
SmokeyNL (1 year ago)
im never lucky :P this will only cost money hahaha i stop mining cards getting very hot too and use alot off power the best i get on the rx 480 is 654 the card are modded for eth
Jessica Jung (1 year ago)
Newer AMD drivers also increase hash rate for R9 Nano. Not sure if this also applies with other gpus. 15.12 Driver - 473 H/s 16.3.2 Driver - 755 H/s 17.1.1. Driver - 770 H/s *low wattage mod
chilledgamer1985 (1 year ago)
yep i have just upgraded my drivers from 16.3.2 to 17.1.1 and getting 472mh/s with a r9 380
David Cai (1 year ago)
The Pascal Miner was probably optimized using the latest drivers. Only bad think about using 17.1.1 is a 20% reduction in hash rate for mining Zec using Optiminer.
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
wow what a difference! maybe I should install 17.1.1...
Rusty Debier (1 year ago)
Wow this coin really exploded, I'm sure by the morning hash will sky rocket. Currently you can earn around $40 a day for 6 card rig, sure beats the current 6 bucks a day on ETH. Solo mining tho so all luck.
Rusty Debier (1 year ago)
+XxTheAMDPOWERxX It's basically unmineable doing solo, too many people jumped on board. I threw a gpu at it for the hell of it that is getting 370mh but nothing has been found yet. Also even if you do find a block the share could go stale so you end up mining all this time for nothing.
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
yup
XxTheAMDPOWERxX (1 year ago)
Yea i wished that i knew about it early as well :/
XxTheAMDPOWERxX (1 year ago)
For how long you have been mining it ? And how many blocks have you found so far ? iam so excited for it

wish I mined this when it was worthless I'd be rich ha.

Solo mining is pure luck. There's no help to be given unless you need help with setting up the miner or wallet app and Cryptomined has pretty much covered all you need to know as far as that.
Houssem Melki (1 year ago)
plz help me, i have a saphire hd 7970 dual x 3go at 500 mh/s, i don't find a block in 8 hour

Cryptomined (1 year ago)
well its been around for a few months, but just gained popularity in the last 1-2 days after being added to polo
Okay so, 400mh/s rx470 and 420 rx480? :p
Oromanowar (1 year ago)
+Cryptomined I followed your instructions in the video and as soon as I startminer the command window closes while the wallet application stays open, windows tells me to double click the system tray icon to open pascalcoinwallet back again, did I do something wrong?
Hmm so its gambling haha, ill try your miner then soon and minestream it xd
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
I was just watching your video, you interrupted me LOL :P Yes its only solo right now, unless a pool was just recently added in the last few hours.... while I was asleep the NVidia miner was updated.. but it refuses to run on my system,... telling me cudart64_80.dll is missing.. so im downloading the cuda 8 pack from invidia now hopefully that fixes it Right now this is really pure LUCK mining... if you are lucky you will find a block... but so far.. no luck for me :( many others say the same... so many people have started mining this today that its not almost impossible to find a block we need a pool badly... but suprnova says they dont think they can make a pool as the protocol is totally different than anything else
Cryptomined is it solo only??
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
no block found yet,... 17 hours, 13 GPUs...
Lim Qing Fu (1 year ago)
Pascal GPUs mine Pascalcoin slower than AMD. LOL
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
maybe not anymore, new nvidia miner has been updated.... I get a DLL error when I try to run it so im trying to download cuda 8 now
Kirill Krylov (1 year ago)
Thanks a lot, Could you please advice is it profitable for now to mine PASC? Also there is new optimainer for zcash, I'm waiting review from you, because I had worse result than previous version.
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
i tried 1.5.0 and it was not much faster, did he release a newer version? if i have more free time I will try to do a video on it, still want to do gateless also

Hey Cryptomined, thx for this vid. How many coins can you mine per hour with you RX480 rig?
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
ok i sent you an email with a key if your still ok with shooting me over 1 account for testing and play :) thanks!
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
well id still like to play with the wallet.. im mining some to poloniex now, but wanted to try to send that to my actual wallet... :) you made a killing on that block! 100 Pasc! and 5 accounts... was worth the risk. wish i had mined one.

Cryptomined (1 year ago)
Thanks Guys, I would be very interested to know if anyone here finds a block... more than 1 day for me, maybe going 28 hours now and no block with 13 GPUs (same as in this video)... they been running since i made this video. I have not heard of anyone finding a block in the last day LOL, everyone states the same... mining for hours and hours... no blocks
Geek Mark (1 year ago)
I got 18 GPUs (6 R9280x, 6 R7370 (which mine super low for pascal), 3 rx 480&3 R9 290Xs) been running for 13 hours, no block yet. I'll post tomorrow if I find anything. The difficulty is going through the roof, if it keeps up it will become unminable for solo miners with huge farms jumping in.
Power USA (1 year ago)
i got 20 GPUs 20xRX480 i will update tomorrow
Cryptomined (1 year ago)
18 hours so far, 13 GPUs (6x RX480, 7x RX470)... no luck yet
