Pascal Coin was recently added to Poloniex. This is a guide on how to get started Mining Pascal Coin with AMD GPUs. Note Currently there are no Pascal Coin Pools and the only way to mine it is through Solo Mining. Special Thanks to Gege for brining Pascal Coin to my attention and showing me the GPU miner.

From pascalcoin: For everybody that's having issues with OpenCL v0.2 miner, please read:
- If you're using NVIDIA, I don't know if it works properly, I haven't tested it
- If when executing PascalCoinMiner.exe a raise exception is shown... perhaps there is an error with your OpenCL drivers, check that you have a valid version. If version is valid, then sorry... it doesn't work
- If you want to know if your miner is working properly (and finding valids "nonce" for generate a block) , read this trick and try it (posted days ago)

A small trick for PascalCoinMiner (OpenCL miner v0.2)
You can add -t param (this param is not documented, I used it for testing purposes)
What does param -t do:
When Wallet sends a job to the miner, "target" is a 32 bits value with left-byte indicating how many "0" bits on the left must have the PoW
Example: target=2DD63426 -> Left byte 2D is equal to 45 in decimal, so, first 45 bits of PoW must be "0"
When you add -t param you can subtract the indicated left bits, for example, a "-t 10" then miner will find 45-10=35 left "0" bits of PoW
With this example, your miner will submit a work to your wallet more quickly, but of course, wallet will say that "pow is lower than target" because is an invalid PoW
It will help you to visually see if your miner is working properly
PascalCoinMiner.exe -p 0 -d 1 -s -n Test -t 10
Hi Guys; I don't know why but when I start "Pascal Coin Wallet" it is crashing with "Invalid file type" message. Following is "An error occurred during initialization. application cannot continue. Access violation at address 0055a640 in module 'PascalCoinWallet.exe' Read of address 0000004C Application will close" Is there any chance to know why? My Os is Win7 Por x64
Jumped on as well, no block found in 12 hours or so. Trading is pure crazyness @ Poloniex right now.... Volume is through the roof. I got in a bit late though, only about 8% profit so far (fingers crossed the pump will continue).
yup, this drive is more natural and in the opposite direction that zcash started in LOL hopefully you have luck selling when the time is right, i wish you goodluck
what I dont like about zcash, is that its a for profit company... so that makes me question the price more... and the investors... if they somehow keep the price propped up... and with it being a company... i wonder if the US government can force the "company" to stop developement whenever the US government feels like it... also since it competes with the federal reserve - if they can put the developers in prison.... thats one reason why im very skeptical about holding any zcash to be honest.
its like if anyone else prints money to compete with the USD, they can go to jail for a very very long time... i wonder how those laws can be enforced against electronic money... maybe calling it Z"Cash" was not the best name... as cash does suggest money.. and since its US based... that is money competing against the USD... which is illegal right? like walking on the edge of a razor blade
Haha yes, I can imagine. The difference is though hype of this new coin was driving up those prices. Now the fact that it's purely just added to Polo seems to be driving prices up. That and it's an interesting coin.
We'll see, what goes up must come down. Hopefully I'll get out before that happening though.
what do you mean another platform? AMD vs NVIDIA?
for using multiple rigs with one wallet, the info is near the end of the video... instead of using the default 127.0.0.1:4009, you type in the IP of your rig with wallet... so if your rig with wallet is 192.168.1.2 and your other mining rig is 192.168.1.3, you would launch the miner on rig with IP 192.168.1.3 and instead of hitting enter to use 127.0.0.1 you would enter in the IP for the rig with wallet: 192.168.1.2:4009
It says about 4 days for me to find a block, but still based on luck... Ive been at it for over 24 hours now.. so I will keep trying... I'll quit if a pool starts or if I have just had enough of checking and seeing 0 blocks found... id like to give it a couple days,.. but at this difficulty, ETH might be most profitable again anyways
its at the end of the video.. if you have your wallet open on rig 1, and its router ip is 192.168.1.2... and your rig2 router IP is 192.168.1.3...
instead of hitting enter when you launch the miner, dont use 127.0.0.1 and use 192.168.1.2:4009 (whatever your rig1 with wallet router IP is)
that will use the wallet on rig1 for the miner on rig2.
is that what you mean? does that help?
Once you mine a block you can click the box to sort accounts with your existing keys, this will show you your accounts and rewards
I dont actually use poloniex so I am not sure, sorry. I don't use poloniex because its not a local exchange... i tend to only use exchanges that trade in CNY (I live in china...).
the only exchange outside of Asia that i have an account for is Kraken, but I have not even used it yet :P
I got this at first too.. and my wallet would not sync... what I did to fix it was to set my time and time zone in windows to "automatic" so that it suncs with internet time properly... try that and let me know if it works please, thanks
V. Good Vid. I subbed. Some numbers for you guys and gals. Higher power usage than Zec/Eth.

R290 Stock 502MH
RX480 Stock 619MH
R9 Nano Stock +20 power aggressive fan 794MH (wow!)
Wish me luck finding a block! :D
thnx for the video!) who knows how to put together distant miners? ive tried to export private key to another wallet installed on a 2nd rig but it doesn't work....it works but i want to connect my mining powers!)) help!)
yes, if you are mining on the same computer that your wallet is hosted on you will want to use that IP. Otherwise if you are mining from a different computer than your wallet is on, you will want to use the IP of the rig that your wallet is on... Example, if your wallet is on Router IP 192.168.1.11 and your mining on rig with Router IP 192.168.1.12, you will want to enter the Router IP of your wallet computer, 192.168.1.11:4009
right, if i dont find a block i wasted a lot of electric... so even if I loose money on the investment I rather find something
ill let it run for a few days, week MAX if i dont find anything after several days, week max,.. ill take the loss i guess... hopefully a pool does open up soon
the only problem with a pool... and if you havent found a block - is that your going to need to buy an account #
cool, i think there are 2 calculators now for this, the cryptocompare one which you can find in these comments and the one at http://whattomine.com/coins/172-pasc-pascal?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=2650&p=1400&fee=0.0&cost=0.14&hcost=0.0&commit=Calculate
currently i think it takes me average 4 days to find a block, but still based on luck... could take weeks,.. could take a day
I still need to mine a block to get an account, and I actually don't use poloniex. If i get a block ill try to transfer to an exchange,. but 17 hours now and no block from the 2 rigs in this video. ... difficulty is too high now.. too many miners started to mine this in the last day
Wow this coin really exploded, I'm sure by the morning hash will sky rocket. Currently you can earn around $40 a day for 6 card rig, sure beats the current 6 bucks a day on ETH. Solo mining tho so all luck.
It's basically unmineable doing solo, too many people jumped on board. I threw a gpu at it for the hell of it that is getting 370mh but nothing has been found yet. Also even if you do find a block the share could go stale so you end up mining all this time for nothing.
+Cryptomined I followed your instructions in the video and as soon as I startminer the command window closes while the wallet application stays open, windows tells me to double click the system tray icon to open pascalcoinwallet back again, did I do something wrong?
I was just watching your video, you interrupted me LOL :P
Yes its only solo right now, unless a pool was just recently added in the last few hours.... while I was asleep the NVidia miner was updated.. but it refuses to run on my system,... telling me cudart64_80.dll is missing.. so im downloading the cuda 8 pack from invidia now hopefully that fixes it
Right now this is really pure LUCK mining... if you are lucky you will find a block... but so far.. no luck for me :(
many others say the same... so many people have started mining this today that its not almost impossible to find a block
we need a pool badly... but suprnova says they dont think they can make a pool as the protocol is totally different than anything else
well id still like to play with the wallet.. im mining some to poloniex now, but wanted to try to send that to my actual wallet... :) you made a killing on that block! 100 Pasc! and 5 accounts... was worth the risk. wish i had mined one.
Thanks Guys, I would be very interested to know if anyone here finds a block... more than 1 day for me, maybe going 28 hours now and no block with 13 GPUs (same as in this video)... they been running since i made this video. I have not heard of anyone finding a block in the last day LOL, everyone states the same... mining for hours and hours... no blocks
I got 18 GPUs (6 R9280x, 6 R7370 (which mine super low for pascal), 3 rx 480&3 R9 290Xs) been running for 13 hours, no block yet. I'll post tomorrow if I find anything. The difficulty is going through the roof, if it keeps up it will become unminable for solo miners with huge farms jumping in.
