How to Use Multiple Time Frame Analysis to Find Better Entry and Exit Points 📈

What is Multi TimeFrame Analysis? http://www.financial-spread-betting.com/course/technical-analysis.html PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE THIS VIDEO SO WE CAN DO MORE! You might have heard of it, you might have not heard about it - what is timeframe analysis and how can we use it to become better traders. How To Perform A Multiple Time Frame Analysis Multi Timeframe analysis means that we don't limit ourselves to one time frame to place a trade. We check the next higher time frame so as to gain a better perspective on the prevailing trend and then utilise the lower time frame to make our entry. It basically means taking a top-down approach based on the timeframe we're trading. We can start with a daily chart and we look at that chart. Is it an uptrend or downtrend? Where are the key levels - what is the structure of the chart? Then we step down to a lower timeframe. You could even go down to a 4-hourly chart and then you do the same thing. You're going down and you're analysing the chart as you go down. What is the point of that? We're doing that because we're trying to find something that fits the criteria on every timeframe. This helps us not lose sight of the bigger picture. A short that might look great on a 15 minute chart might not look so great on a 4 hourly chart if the wider market is in bullish territory. Why daily chart and then 4h chart and then 15min chart? It would be better for you to use, Daily, 1H and finally 15min charts. Daily for trend, 1H for signal and 15 min for a better entry level. That's it!

Yes I drop use it and I think once I learn to always use multi timeframe analysis and avoid trades that don’t necessarily fit multi timeframe analysis, I will be a great trader

I've messed up two trades because I didn't do this. Wish I'd seen this earlier!

It has taken me 5 years to nuance a trading strategy that works very profitably but part of it is using momentum on a one hour chart to enter momentum on a 15 minute chart.Multiple time frames are the KEY element in success!!!

+Ukspreadbetting Very informative video. You're one of the best teachers I've found on youtube. As a swing trader, I tend to use weekly and daily charts to determine the overall trend, and hourly charts for trade entry/exit. That combined with candlestick patterns, ema, and stoch lines works well for me.

so the longer time frame always trump the shorter one in the case of contradicting? et say I would like to make 2-3 trades per day if I can find the best setup. How many time frames are adequate to watch? 3-4? daily, hourly, 15 mins and 1 min....?
UKspreadbetting (4 months ago)
Yes longer time frame trumps all (generally speaking). This timeframes look good, maybe lift the 1 to a 3min if you find it too noisy.

I use top down analysis, use the Daily and 4 hour to determine market direction, whether im doing trend continuation, maybe counter trend on a pullback, and look at the 1hr and 30min charts for a good entry, the best way for a retail trader to approach trading in my opinion.

I do the same thing. If it looks like pullback just stick to a 1:1 otherwise hold longer for maybe 2:1 or 3:1
